About Gulf Coast TIDE
You may think, "Oh great, another gay organization that does a lot of talk, but no walk." And, you might be right, but with our diverse group of board members, gcTIDE will certainly change your mind. We are a group of people concerned that there is no sense of community within the community. That's about to change.
Our goal is to build a unified community, one that supports the other. You will not find gender biases here. You will not find preference biases here. We have mothers of gay sons, children of lesbian mothers and one hell of a good start.
Help us build a stronger community so that we have one voice, one goal and one agenda. The tide is coming in and it’s sink or swim.
The Philosophy
Through community we can do anything. We are not just a percentage of a population, we are a conglomeration of thoughts, ideas and behaviors that work to help us excel. Through support, we can build a stronger community.
Many of the organizations and business listed on this website support the advancement of LGBT citizens. gcTIDE provides safe socializing in the community. A majority of the venues we choose are not bars or clubs. Instead, they are parks and restaurants. It’s time to change the image of what it is to be gay and concerned. That’s our philosophy.

Gulf Coast TIDE, Inc. provides education, empowerment and visibility within and beyond the Gulf Coast lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Community. With its stated goal: “Together in Diversity & Equality,” Gulf Coast TIDE, Inc. seeks to encourage and build stronger ties between those individuals and organizations serving the Gulf Coast LGBT Community – affirming, assisting and augmenting their efforts – while being actively involved in advocacy efforts to promote tolerance, acceptance, equality and diversity.
