Membership
As with many organizations, the first thing you get after a membership is a bill, maybe a thank you card and that's it and the fact that you've just spent money on something you might never participate in, just so you feel good about it. That's not how gcTIDE works.
We actively encourage membership for one simple reason: community. The money you donate goes to help the community as a whole, set up scholarships for LGBT students and fund for educational events such as Pensacola Pride Fest and recreational events like the LGBT Film Festival... and this is only the beginning. With enough support and encouragement from people like you, we can build a stronger community capable of anything.
When you become a member, you help establish yourself as a concerned citizen ready for social change and we will be glad to support you in our efforts. With each dollar, we are able to support gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered high school students. We are able to empower a young generation of professionals through scholarship funds, help the needy through charity events and educate the unsuspecting passers-by through a complete family-oriented event.
Red members, Blue members, Silver members and Gold Members. All too often we are split up by how much we can donate. At gcTIDE, a member is a member no matter what your socioeconomic status is. We do, however, offer different rates for individuals, students and families. We are still working through membership packages, but we aim to provide you with much more than just a membership card. Eventually, gcTIDE would like to coordinate efforts with local businesses for discounts and trades available to you.
